Tribute concert to the winners of the XVI Frontiers of Knowledge Awards Madrid Symphony Orchestra Santiago Serrate, director The concert was performed on June 19, 2024 at Euskalduna Bilbao. The president of the BBVA Foundation, Carlos Torres Vila, presided over the event, which was attended by the mayor of Bilbao, Juan Mari Aburto, and the director of the BBVA Foundation, Rafael Pardo. The Madrid Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Santiago Serrate, will develop a program whose first part offers the performance, for the first time in Spain, of George Benjamin's Concerto for Orchestra, as well as Dance Figures, by the same author; and which closes with the Suite from "The Firebird", by Igor Stravinsky, and Prelude and Death of Love, from the opera Tristan und Isolde by Richard Wagner.
