3th Conducting Course of the Sax Ensemble Foundation

The Sax-Ensemble Foundation announces the third training course for conductors "Homage to Tomás Marco" from November 25 to 27, 2022 at the Getafe Professional Conservatory.

Our main training project is the Sax-Ensemble Tribune, which is a platform for composers, conductors and performers to gain experience in the professional field of music, both in the interpretation and musical direction of concerts and in the composition of musical works. classical and premiered by professional music groups.

The first activity of the Tribune that we are going to carry out this year 2022 is a management course with theoretical and practical classes. Since we have a chamber group such as the Sax-Ensemble Group and concert halls in which we carry out our activity. The course will consist of the preparation of the three works of the program with our musical director Santiago Serrate on November 25, 26 and 27, 2022 at the Professional Conservatory of Getafe (Madrid).

The works chosen in this 2022-23 edition, in which we honor the great Tomás Marco de Aragón, are Mechanical Paradise, Dancing Paradise and Finals of Paradise.

Since the institution of the Sax-Ensemble Foundation, training activities have been one of its fundamental pillars, and its statutes have literally included its aims: conducting training and dissemination courses with the basic objective of promoting and disseminating the music in general and especially that related to the saxophone and research.

1st The course will take place at the Getafe Professional Conservatory of Music (Madrid) on November 25, 26 and 27, 2022. The first day will be theoretical classes and both the 26 and 27 will be practical classes in the Conservatory Auditorium Professional from Getafe.

During the course, theoretical and practical classes will be developed with the Sax-Ensemble Group. The Sax-Ensemble Foundation has an agreement with the Infanta Mercedes hotel. Students who need lodging can request the places that are necessary at a reduced price.

This course was born with the aim of completing the training of young conductors, putting within their reach the opportunity to carry out internships with the prestigious Sax-Ensemble Group, its musical director Santiago Serrate and its artistic director Francisco Martínez, both with extensive pedagogical experience.

From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: Practical classes with Paraíso and Paraíso Danzante Finals.
Sunday, November 27, 2022

From 10.00 to 14.00: Practical classes with Dancing Paradise and Dynamic Paradise.
From 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Open rehearsal with Circus Polka by Igor Stravisnky and The Fantastic Four Op. 74b by Alejandro Román

4º All theoretical and practical classes will be recorded in HD audio and video. A video edition of the concert will be made to be published on our page www.worldsax.tv and a photographic report will also be made.

5th Categories of students:

Active: Directors and advanced music students may register as active students. Once registered, the scores for the course will be provided.

Listening public: Any person interested in expanding their musical knowledge can register as listeners.

Teachers and students of the Professional Conservatory of Getafe will have a 10% discount on the registration fee.

6th Enrollment Prices:

Active students – €250

Active students will actively participate in the classes and will be able to attend the rehearsals of the Sax-Ensemble Group free of charge.

Listening students – €150

7th Duration of the course:

Three days with 15 and a half teaching hours

8º Form of payment:

Payment can be made by bank transfer as reflected in the registration form.

9th Certificate: The Sax Ensemble Foundation will deliver a certificate of attendance to all students.
